Shannon Anderson

Shannon is a graduate of Queensland University of Technology with an Associate Degree in Dance.  After graduating he worked with numerous companies and choreographers in Australia including Natalie Weir, Buzz Dance Theatre, Dance North and Expressions Dance Company.

He was offered a position with Carte Blanch, the national contemporary dance company of Norway in 1999. He went on to work with choreographers Amanda Miller, Jo Strømgren, Pascal Touzeau and Dans Design.

Shannon joined ADT following performances as a guest dancer in several works for ADT’s Ignition 4 season. He joined the Company in 2003 and performed in DevolutionHELD, Nothing, The Age of Unbeauty, Birdbrain and Vocabulary. He choreographed Simple for Ignition 5 and performed in several works in Ignition 6.

While at ADT Shannon worked with independent artist Anton on the film project Ensilganger. In 2006 Shannon was part of Troy Mundy’s acclaimed production Green D-Men.

Shannon contributed to the development of G and toured as a dancer with the Company for the 2008 European / London tour of G.

Over the last three years he has also been engaged as a guest lecturer at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts and QUT, Brisbane.
