Glen McCurley

Glen completed his dance training at the Queensland University of Technology in his home town of Brisbane. His first significant professional engagement was the remounting of John Utans’ A Love of Subtle Deceipt for the Queensland Ballet.

Glen was invited to join Leigh Warren & Dancers in 2001 and danced with the company until mid 2005. During this time he performed in the production Quick Brown Fox, a collaboration with William Forsythe, an international tour of Divining and Swerve, and numerous works in South Australia and interstate.

Glen has worked with the State Opera of South Australia and also with Opera Australia as Rehearsal Assistant for their Adelaide season of The Mikado. He joined Australian Dance Theatre for their debut season of Devolution and for Vocabulary, a co-production with Restless Dance Theatre.

After spending time in Barcelona, Glen returned to Adelaide as a mentor to Lorcan Hopper in Restless Dance Theatre’s season of Debut 2 before coming full circle to re-join LWD for the premiere of Frame & Circle.

Glen is also a teacher of dance and pilates. He has worked with tertiary institutions to assess graduate dance students.
